Dr. Anthony Bohan, M.D.

Anthony Bohan, MD, JD, MHA, FACP, FACR is a Board-Certified rheumatologist in private practice in Newport Beach, California. He is also a health-care attorney with the Law Firm of LawMed-Disability Attorneys, LLP. In addition to his medical and legal degrees, Doctor Bohan holds a Masters degree in Health Care Administration.

Doctor Bohan graduated from UCLA School of Medicine with honors. He is Board-Certified in both internal medicine and rheumatology and was invited to serve as Chief Resident at UCLA prior to going out into private practice in Newport Beach. He has regularly been named to lists of Top Doctors in Orange County and across America.

He is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians (FACP) and a Fellow in the American College of Rheumatology (FACR). He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed medical journals and has lectured widely. Dr. Bohan is well known for landmark publications in prestigious medical journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine and for the “Bohan and Peter” Diagnostic Criteria in polymyositis and dermatomyositis that are used around the world.

He has received many prestigious honors and awards throughout his career.

Dr. Bohan holds a certificate in gerontology and a Masters degree in Health Care Administration in addition to his medical and law degrees and is thoroughly familiar with managed care and with matters of regulatory compliance.
